Pastors

Rev. Harold Guptill (Senior Pastor)

Harold Guptill (small image)Following the Lord’s calling, Harold and his wife Kathy became members of Tri-City Covenant Church in 1988.  Harold was installed as a Deacon in 1992 and as Elder in 1999.  Harold and Kathy have five wonderful children.  All of their children have either graduated from or attend Tri-City Christian Academy.

Professionally, Harold has held several management positions ranging from supervisor to executive level management.  In 2005, the Guptill family purchased Hampshire Pewter as a family business.  The family can often be see working together to further the business.

Recently, Harold was appointed to a position on the Planning Board of the City of Somersworth.  Harold looks forward to serving the community in this new role.

Rev. John Correia (Associate Pastor)

John Correia (small)Rev. John A. Correia has been a member of Tri-City Covenant Church since 1995. He is blessed to have been married to his wife Sharon for twenty years, for which the good Lord invested four beautiful children—Ernest, Christopher, Caleb, and Marie. They are grateful to have welcomed their daughter-in-law, Emma, and grandchildren Tristan and Connor in recent history, both of whom make their home with son Caleb in South Berwick, ME.

John happily serves the good people of Tri-City Covenant Church in the capacity as Associate Pastor and thoroughly enjoys his work with the church’s key ministry, Tri-City Christian Academy, where he currently serves as the secondary department director and instructor. “It is an absolute privilege and blessing to participate in the vivacious life of this historic and dynamic community.”

When he is not at work or spending quality time with his family, Rev. Correia enjoys an occasional round of golf.

Elders

Phil Bartels

Phil Bartels (small image)Wellington P. Bartels, III has been a member of TCCC since 1979.  Phil and his wife, Sally, have been married for 50 years.  They have three children and fifteen grandchildren. Since 1980 he has served as an elder and vice chair of the board of elders.  Other duties at TCCC have been youth director for 25 years, teacher of financial management to the congregation, teacher and youth counselor at TCCA since 2003.

Phil has an AA in computer science/criminal justice/NH Police standards and spent 15 years as deputy chief of Pittsfield and a NH State Trooper. He also received his BS in Business Management at the University of Phoenix during his 25 years as President and CEO of Timco listed on the NYSE, “WTR”.

Phil served 6 years on the Pittsfield Planning Board and 25 years as Scoutmaster for BSA troop 84 and selected as the SM for the State of NH to the National Jamboree in 1981.

Phil’s passion is traveling the world with his wife, shooting, and serving the body of Christ.

Edward Correia

 Deacon Ed Correia (small image)Edward Correia has been a member of Tri-City Covenant Church since 1981 and has served as a deacon since 1996. He oversees the Benevolence and Food Committee Ministries at the Church.

Ed has been married to his high school sweetheart, Debra, for 43 years. They have two children, Edward, Jr (married to Isaira Correia) and Yolande (married to TJ Sprague) and nine grandchildren, Eddie Sprague, Gabriella Santos, Isaiah Sprague, Vanessa Turmenne, Edward Correia, III, Tyler Sprague, Collin Sprague, Isabelle Correia and Victoria Correia.

Edward is a retired police officer and currently works full-time in the aerospace industry as a Nondestructive – ultrasonic inspector.

Rev. Paul Edgar

Rev Paul Edgar (small image)During his years as principal and teacher at our school, Mr. Edgar has developed an appreciation for the glorious uniqueness of each student and a passionate desire to give them the very best possible experience in Christian education. “I am thankful for the opportunities we have here each day to impart a sense of Christian purpose to the students entrusted to us.”

Born “a long time ago” in Baltimore, MD, Paul Edgar graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, attended the University of Delaware, and completed his Bachelor’s Degree requirements, in Industrial Technology, at the University of Maine after an interim period of military service in the Air Force.

Working as a motorcycle mechanic, as an industrial engineer, and as a military recruiter were all preparatory steps for the position he now holds and regards as his “highest calling and privilege,” serving as principal of Tri-City Christian Academy.  Mr. Edgar completed his Education Leadership degree at Grand Canyon University in 2012.

Mr. Edgar lives near his beloved Tri-City Christian Academy, adjacent to Niver Field, with Mrs. Susan Edgar, his wife of forty-six years. They have seven children, and eleven (so far) grandchildren.

Todd MacDougall

Todd MacDougall (small image)Todd MacDougall began attending Tri-City Covenant Church in 1995 after he was enrolled in the church’s primary mission – Tri-City Christian Academy.  After graduating from TCCA, God joined Todd in marriage with fellow alumnus Amy Lewis on September 2, 2000.  God has blessed their union with three wonderful children – Micah, Emma, and Kaylee.  Through God’s providence, all three children are currently enrolled in TCCA, where Amy also teaches in the High School Department.

Todd was called to the office of Deacon in 2008, where he serves as the Special Events coordinator.  Todd has also recently joined the TCCA School Board, and he serves as the chairman of the Advancement Committee.  In addition to these areas of service, Todd seeks to please God through his assignment as a chief of police with Alton police department.

John Marshall

John Marshall (small image)John has been involved with many building projects on our property and was a deacon for many years.  He is now an elder at TCCC.  He has been married to Martha (Randi) for 43 years, with three children and eight grandchildren.

John is presently a member of the Board of Appeals in Eliot, Maine and actively involved in town government and politics.  In years past he has been a member of the planning board, planning committee and the Maine State legislature.  After hours he can be found in the garden, fishing and boating.

Deacons

Timothy Treat

Tim Treat (small image)Timothy Treat has been attending Tri- City Covenant Church since 1987 and has served as deacon since 2000. He serves as the church photographer and as a musician in the worship service.

Tim has been married to his wonderful wife Patricia for 29 years. They have five sons and two grandchildren. When not working at his full-time calling. He can be found at a local fishing hole or enjoying an occasional round of golf.

Gabriel Edgar

Gabriel Edgar (small image)Gabriel Edgar has been a life-long member of Tri-City Covenant Church. He has been serving as deacon since 2013, and assists with building projects within the Church. He is also a Class of 2005 graduate of Tri-City Christian Academy.

Gabriel has been married to his wife, Brittany (also a TCCA graduate), for over 4 years and has been blessed with daughter, Juliette and sons, Grayson, Quinn and Theodore. He is employed as a Foreman at Sprague Floor Covering in Dover.

In his spare time, Gabriel enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids as well as hunting and fishing.

Richard Locke

Richard Locke (small image)Richard Locke is son of elder Clifton Locke, and has been attending the church since birth in 1987.  Rich graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance.  He married his wife Elisabeth in 2011, was granted a child with her recently and has served as a deacon since 2013.

Richard currently works at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a machinist.  He won the Northern New England Golden Gloves Boxing tournament in 2013 and 2014.  Continuing on to Lowell, MA, he ultimately finished second in New England in the 2014 Tournament of Champions.

Ryan MacDougall

Ryan MacDougall (small image)Ryan MacDougall has been a member of Tri-City Covenant Church since 1997 and has served as a Deacon since 2012.  He was formally introduced to the faith through the ministry of Tri-City Christian Academy, which he began attending as a fifth grader in the fall of 1994.  He graduated TCCA in 2001, and married the love of his life, and fellow TCCA graduate, Sarah, in June 2004.  God has since blessed them with three children.

Ryan currently has the privilege of overseeing the Educational Missions and Theological Training ministries.  He really enjoys participating in the advancement of TCCC as it allows him the opportunity to give back to a ministry that has brought so much blessing into his life.

Matthew DesRoches

Matthew DesRoches (small image)Matthew DesRoches has been a member of Tri-City Covenant Church since 1992 and has served as Deacon since 1996. He oversees the Audio Visual ministry.

Matt has been married to his wife Robyn since September of 1986. They have five children and one grandchild.

Matt has been working in the auto-body repair business since 1981.
